Professional teleprompter rigs use a half-mirror that reflects the screen. To read it correctly through the glass, the text must be flipped. Mirror mode flips it instantly, in either direction.
Try It FreeHorizontal mirror flips the text left-to-right, which is what most beam-splitter teleprompter rigs need. Vertical mirror flips it top-to-bottom for setups that reflect off a horizontal surface. Toggle either one from the playback toolbar, or press M for horizontal and Shift+M for vertical.
If you use a physical teleprompter device with reflective glass, the unmirrored screen text would appear reversed in the reflection. Mirror mode corrects that so your eyes read normal text in the glass, while the on-screen line tracking keeps working.
Mirroring combines with speed control, font settings, alignment and line tracking. Only the script text is flipped — the current-line indicator stays fixed, so your position reference never moves.
It flips the text so it reads correctly through the reflective glass of a professional teleprompter rig.
Use the mirror buttons in the playback toolbar, press M for horizontal mirror, or Shift+M for vertical mirror.
Yes. Horizontal and vertical mirroring can be toggled independently.
